Air cleaners use a FOUR stage filtration system:
1. The patented dynamic precleaner removes 97% of air borne particles including; water, leaves, snow, grass, and dust particles, before the air enters the main filter body.
2. The centrifugal effects of spinning the incoming air removes an additional 50% of the smaller particles that are then expelled through the rubber "burp" valve.
3. The primary paper filter removes the majority of the remaining small particles.
4. The inner blue fiber "safety" filter provides an extra measure of protection by filtering to the micron level plus acting as a "back-up to the primary filter in case of a primary filter rupture.
NOTE: To this day we have NEVER sold a replacement inner blue safety filter! All the original blue filters are all still in service!
